About the Charitable Trust

The Mrs L D Rope Third Charitable Settlement is a grant-making charity based in Kesgrave, near Ipswich.  We make grants to individuals living in Ipswich and south-east Suffolk via referrals made by local support agencies.  We also make grants to organisations or institutions, mostly in our local area, but also throughout the UK and overseas.  Any overseas grant has to be made via a UK-based charity.

The primary objective of our charity is the prevention or relief of poverty.  Our trustees will consider applications for a wide variety of items and needs but, generally, most of our grants to individuals are made to purchase furniture, white goods, clothing, food and other essential items such as these.
